Privacy policy

Last updated 3 October 2026. Written in simple words.

1. What we collect

Your name, email, role and anything you add to your profile. Posts, messages, gifts, applications and event RSVPs you make. Basic technical data like your network address for safety and to stop abuse.

2. Why we collect it

To run your account, connect you with others, show your impact, keep the platform safe, and improve CHNF. We do not sell your data.

3. Who can see it

Your public profile and public posts can be seen by anyone. You choose who sees your posts and who can message you in Settings. Your email and phone are never shown on your profile. Messages are private between you and the other person, but our safety team may review reported messages.

4. Donors

Gifts can be hidden from the public list. NGOs can only contact a limited number of donors each day, and you can set your own limits.

5. Payments

If online payment is on, it is handled by Razorpay. We never see or store card numbers.

6. How we protect it

Passwords are stored with strong one way hashing. Two step sign in is available. Secret keys are encrypted. Forms are protected against common web attacks, and we limit repeated actions to stop spam.

7. Your choices

You can edit your profile, change privacy settings, download your data or delete your account at any time from Settings.

8. Cookies

We use one small cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
